Hello from Bagram

As in Bagram, Afghanistan. Been here four months with two more to go. Inherited a Diamondback MTB from a previous hootch dweller. It's eight miles around the perimeter. Manage to get in several turns three or four times a week. Dodging the jingle trucks, humvvee's, SUV's and the minefields. Staying on the road is VERY, VERY important.

Home is in Vermont. I ride a Specialized Allez Triple for the roads and a Marin for commuting back and forth to work. Started riding about five years ago and got serious shortly thereafter. Looking forward to getting back home and putting this 5'000 foot altitude to good use.

Towney

Hello Towney, I will wish you the best of luck in getting out of there in two months! Yes, I would guess that staying on the road IS very important.

Stay busy, stay out of trouble, and let us know when you get back to Vermont .

Welcome to BF!
