Aspiring Bicycle tourer

Hi there,

My name is Katie, and I currently live in San Francisco, CA. Im going to be moving to Miami in the next year and I recently came up with the idea of getting there by bicycle. Im somewhat new to biking. I completed my first century last march with an 11 year old Performance bike (unfortunately I couldnt tell you the model). It was great, but was stolen from my garage a few months ago. So, I dont currently own a bike, but Im looking to get one that is capable of a cross country tour. Im sure Im gonna have lots of questions over the next few months about planning this, so Im excited about being part of this great online community. Happy riding!
