    Good day from Colorado Springs

I came across this forum tonight and can't believe I didn't know about it before now. Have been a cyclist for 30+ years on one type of bike or another. Now...just many types!

Hello 2byT, does this mean you have a tandem, then? What bikes have you got?

    Welcome to BF!

    Thank you for the welcome!

    Siu & East Hill,

I happened upon Bike Forum last night for the first time and thought it odd that I had not been "exposed" before.

I've been living in Colorado Springs, CO for the past 7 years and am ending my 4 year stint as the President of the Colorado Springs Cycling Club www.bikesprings.org

I'm a LAB instructor, IMBA Patroller and active in the local cycling scene here, but continue to explore new avenue's for my "addiction" :-) Anything with wheels that I can pedal.

One of the 1st groups that I happened to encounter on BF was the FOO family, specifically the thread on "post the beautiful FOO ladies" one. Talk about an interesting experience!

I've been a member of the mtbr/road bike forums for a while but honestly tire of the constant bickering and internet chat that goes on. I use them more for techincal info than anything else.

Finding BF and taking a peek into the different categories of groups was an amazing experience, there is sooo much info available and obviously a very active BF community.

I look forward to experiencing more of what BF has to offer and I'll do my best to add what value I can

East Hill...yes, I have two tandems. A mtn tandem and a road. Have been doing the tandem thing since I rode away from my reception on the mtn tandem in Eugene, OR ~11 years ago. I also ride mtn, road, cross, recumbent (experience on 2/3/4 wheeled versions) and particularly enjoy night mtn bike riding...and SNOW riding!

    Cheers,

    Allen

You are a man of many talents! I used to think the idea of mountain bike tandems odd, until member stepfam joined us. He rides a MTB tandem in England . I no longer think of mountain bike tandems as odd, just another way of getting out on a bike and enjoying the experience!

No matter where you go on the internet there will be someone who enjoys bickering. Fortunately, there's more good hearted people here than otherwise.

    Thx again!

Mtn tandeming is one of my favorite cycling pursuits...you've not "cleared" an obstacle until you've piloted a near 100" 350lb+ bike up, over, through or sometimes around (while screaming!) it!

At night in the snow is my absolute favorite time I think...not too many opportunities but very memorable when we get them.

But...if it has wheels and can be ridden...I'm there!

Cycling is my "two-wheeled(mostly) time machine" of sorts. How can you not be out on your bike, spinning the pedals, feeling the wind against your face and not smile?

    Ride Like You Are 5!

    Allen
