Good day to you all!

A big hello from Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada.
I am new to the forum but have been riding for as long as I remember, but only seriously for fitness since 1999 (dropped 70 lbs but could stand to lose a bunch more).
Despite my fondness for smoothly shifting deraileurs, I have been riding fixed 95% of the time for about 3years. No particular reason, it just feels right.
Besides riding bikes (mostly road) I repair, build & re-purpose bikes.
I look forward to participating in these hallowed forums.

Thanks,

Dave (aka gutbucket)

Hi Dave, if you like to repair, build, and re-purpose bikes, are you a Classic & Vintage kind of guy?

Take your time, but it's always good to see new people posting .

Welcome to BF!

Vintage & Classic?

Not really. I suppose if I did some of the things I've done to bikes to get them rolling again to a bike that might actually be worth something, SHeldon Brown himself would hunt me down and kill me.
I'm more of a take some piece of junk that no one wants to ride and make it into something that perhaps still looks like crap but feels like a completely new & ridable bike.

I don't think Sheldon Brown would ever do such a thing! He's too nice a guy .

He'd probably just be happy that you got another bike back on the road, actually .
