Merry Christmas from Minnesota!

Long time reader (a few months, anyway), first time poster.

I've been biking to work for a couple of years, but never considered it once it got cold out, much less snowy. I stumbled upon these formus after looking for advice on fixing my bike. Once I started reading, I realized- Duh! Cold and snow shouldn't stop me! I very rarely drive to work- in fact, as of a couple days ago, I only put 2,890 miles on my vehicle in the last year.

I'm a patrol officer for a suburban police department, and have joined the bike patrol there as well. It's been a great expierence. The looks people give you, and the ability to sneak up on people and situations is great!

Hi wb647, we always enjoy having LEOs join us, because it's good to get a different perspective on things. I know I have enjoyed chatting with the bike patrol folks who were assigned to my local MUP during the summer, and they enjoyed doing the patrol .

Welcome to BF!
