New member from NE Missouri

Hello, I'm borderline obsessed about bikes so I figured I'd join up to the forums.

My main machine is a Motobecane fixed gear, which I've put straight bars and new fenders on. (And yes, I use a brake)

My other is an old Schwinn Varsity that was sitting out rotting to death, which I decided to adopt. I put new tubes and tires from Wally World on it and it's ridable, though nothing to look at.

At my school we're in the process of building a Bike Co-op, from getting people, equipment, a building, and overall becoming established. I'd like to learn more about bike maintenance and repair.

Also, I'm thinking more and more every day about bike touring this spring/summer.

Hi carkmouch, get some photos of the Varsity and give our Schwinn fanatics in the Classic & Vintage forum a holiday treat .

What school are you at? That's awesome that you're getting up a bike co-op--a lot of members here really enjoy learning, and then passing along both knowledge and some working bicycles at their local co-ops.

Welcome to BF!
