    Hello from Houston

    Hi all,

Im a 52 y/o that just got a bike for Christmas. Havent been on one in over 30 years. Should be an interesting experience. I already am accutely aware that a new saddle is in order.

Anyway, glad you guys are here and I will be checking forums frequently. Looks like there is a lot of knowledge here.

    Ciao
    Suz

Hi Suz, what kind of bike did you get?

Don't forget to check out the regional forums--there's one just for Texas .

    Welcome to BF!

    Hello from Houston

Welcome to The road, trail or sidewalk.
Your saddle may be ok. Give it a chance.
You rear end has to get used to it.
Raise it seat post where you have half pressure on youe legs and less pressure on your butt.
Smille when you ride, I do.

Welcome to the forum from Sugar Land. Don't get discouraged. I rode a lot in my 20s then slacked off. Getting back on isn't hard, but give yourself time to aclimate.
I have a coworker named Suz also.

Greetings from Montrose. I've been biking off and on since the mid 70's. I ride daily and average about 14 miles a day. Started biking again this year after taking several years off and lost 50 lbs.

Another "Welcome from Sugar Land". I am 21 and got back into cycling after 5 years off. My dad is 52 and I am getting him back into Cycling after 20 years off the saddle.

    Welcome from Meyerland!

I'm 39. I rode a lot in college, and then gave it up when I first moved to Houston (Pearland) because of the traffic. I moved closer to the Bayou and started a new love affair with the bike.

    Enjoy and keep pedaling!
