Hello from South Phoenix (Ahwatukee)
Hi my name is Sean Scherer and I am a bit new at this whole biking scene but very excited to get more involved with time... I recently bought a new road bike but haven't gotten all the parts in the mail yet to put it together, it is a Trek 5200 OCLV120 Carbon Fiber road frame/fork... I am still looking for a few parts, such as cheap shifter/brakes, wheels and seat and post but otherwise I am very excited to get riding on this new bike... I am going to be attending Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (Tempe, AZ; www.scnm.edu) this spring and ideally will be biking 20+ miles a day to school and back. Everybody seems very friendly and very cool on this site and I hope to find some cool rides to go on here... Good luck to all and ride safely...

Hello Sean, I see you have already done some wandering around the board and found the C/A forum--they are a great bunch of guys and gals there, very enthusiastic and welcoming!
Any reason for choosing SCNM over Bastyr?
Welcome to BF!

SCNM over other schools...
I considered all the Naturopathic schools but in the end SCNM is the best fit for me... It is closest and I don't have to relocate for one and the other reason is that it is an overall better school in my opinion. They have better test scores than the other schools for the N-PLEX sciences sections and they are known for delivering a very good well-rounded education without an extreme persuasion into any specific fields. Also, Arizona has the best regulations committee for alternative medicine which makes it an ideal place to do clinical training and to practice post-graduation... I know a few graduates locally too and a few other non-naturopathic medical professionals who spoke highly of the school...

Those sound like good reasons to me! Because of my location, I am of course, very familiar with Bastyr, which is why I asked...and it makes much more sense if you don't have to relocate!
