Hello...

Hello Bike Forums Members,

My name is AJ and I'm a college student looking for a new bike to ride (gas prices ). It's been about 4 years since I last owned a bike so I'm not a serious rider by any means but I have a feeling if I stick around here long enough that may change. I came across this site while doing some google searches for bikes. This site has proven helpful already so I thought I'd do my part and register to say hello and thank you. HELLO and THANK YOU!

Hello AJ, yes, we do tend to change perceptions around here when it comes to bikes .

Where are you located, and what kind of bike are you looking at?

Welcome to BF!

Hi East Hill,

I am currently located in Gainesville, FL for school but my permanent home is West Palm Beach. I am considering a folding bike because I live in an apartment but it doesn't necessarily have to be a folder. I just want something small and comfortable since I'm a female. I don't really know a whole lot about bicycling besides the basics so I can probably be "sold" on any bike right now.

Folders are good! Especially for apartment dwellers. A nice road bike can be relatively lightweight, but will perhaps still be a bit bulky for an apartment.
