New from Denver

Just joined the forum...I'm a road cyclist from Denver, CO. I usually ride around the metro area, including commuting, but I'm not a big climber. My fleet includes an '81 Pinarello, '06 Specialized Allez, and a '59 Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix. I like to ride in a group when I can but prefer not to have to drive to go on a ride. I live in central Denver so rides that start around REI/Confluence Park are perfect for me. The winter weather does not stop me from riding, as the Raleigh is a beater and is perfectly happy covered with sand and magnesium chloride residue. I'd like to meet other cyclists who ride 15-20 mph avg. for 20-60 mile rides and don't take themselves too seriously.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Jay, look around for DnvrFox, you sound like you'd get on well with him, and welcome to Bike Forums.

He's seen around 5o+ and Clyde's, as well as a few other places.

I'm typically up for weekend rides. I'm also a central denverite and Confluence/REI is very convenient for me.

Welcome to the forums!!! I'll be up for a ride sometime soon... just as soon as I get my life settled again!

See you out on the roads! (If I haven't already!)

Oh... and I'm pretty near Confluence park as well... Federal/Alameda area!

Sound like at least a few of us live in central Denver. We should get a Saturday or Sunday ride started this year starting at REI or Wash Park or something, depending on where a central locations turns out to be for those interested.
