I would like to post larger pictures.....

To whomever would like to reply: Please tell me if the photo I'm attaching today is coming out as a small thumbnail or as a good size photo on the forum entry. I'm still learning the clicks and drags of this site.

I'll give this a try.

THANKS, I'll get the hang of this site yet...

Thanks, I will get the hang of this site yet. Still figuring out the clicks. I just started on the Commuting and Long Distance forum threads... so far this is a great forum for information and suggestions.

3bikes,

Photos the size of the one you posted work well. You may not know it, but those that appear as thumbnails generally display in a larger size after you click on them.

What is annoying about very large photos in posts is that they widen the page. Once one of those is posted readers must constantly scroll left to right and back again to read each line of text on the page.

If you make the file size of your JPEG photo about 150 kb it will be large enough to see in detail, but small enough not to force a wide page.

You can also have sites such as Photobucket limit the size for you , so that you don't need to worry about having those mammoth photos that drive virtually everyone crazy!
