Hello.

Hello everybody. I'm near Rochester NY and I wish I could ride right now but it's snowy.

My username it the name of my newest bike. (Free Spirit 10 speed) I just got it today from somebody's curb. (They were throwing it away.) It has no seat and it very rusty, but I plan to have it working by spring.

My other bike is a Magna Great Divide. Not alot to say about it.

This looks like a cool forum.

Welcome aboard! And yes it is snowy in Rochester - but snow is fun, ice & rain - not so fun I see more and more bicycles in Rochester these days ----- and lots more commuters since the gas prices took off.

Lots of stuff going on in Rochester for bicycles these days (I ought to know - I have this horrible arm that keeps raising up volunteering myself when any event asks for my help - really need to do something about that arm!). If I can be of any help in anything - give me a shout!

You certainly got the gamut of comments!

Personally, I would fix it up and ride the heck out of it!

That's what I'm planning to do. It's going to feel very light to me as all my previous bikes were mountain bikes. (Even if it's heavy by normal standards.)

Yeah, and that way, when your funds do allow for it, you will be amazed at how light the next bike feels! Don't worry about Old Fat Guy, he's our in-house curmudgeon until you get to know him. He's actually a great guy, and very helpful. I think he's just testing your resolve .
