Hi from West Palm Beach
Hello,
My wife & I have decided to get back in to bicycling for fun and much needed exercise. For her b-day I just bought her a Jamis explorer 2 due to arrive this week. I'm not sure what I want for myself. I've been looking at four different bikes: Jamis explorer 3.0, Specialized expedition elite, Giant sedona dx and Trek navigator 3.0. I am hoping for someone's input to help me decide. We're really looking forward to to cycling again while the weather here is still nice.
Jeff

Welcome. ( I finally beat east hill here lol).
All great bikes. What do you plan on doing with the bikes? road only? Bike trails/paths? How far do you plan to ride?
Give us some info and we'll try to help you pick one although you cant really go wrong with those names.

Thanks for your reply. We live in a rural area with miles of paved and hard packed shell-rock roads. I plan to ride 5-10 miles several times a week. I looks like the Jamis bike has more for the money, but I haven't had the opportunity to test-ride one. I've only been able to try out the Giant. The bike will mainly be used for casual cruising on dirt paths and paved roads.
I'm interested in the unusual shape of the frame on the Specialized Expedition Elite. It looks like it may be a very comfortable bike. Comfort is an important factor in my decision. I have some neck problems due to a car accident a few years ago.

Hey welcome to BF. Where in WPB are you at? I grew up in Lake Worth, but live in Jacksonville now.

Hi JWJONES, it looks as if the Expedition Elite would be a good choice for you if you have neck problems and are going to be using this bike on what are essentially unpaved roads/trails.

We sell Jamis at the shop I work at. Go for the Jamis. Great bang for the buck.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Tomorrow I hope to test ride an Expedition Elite. Still on the fence between Jamis and Specialized.
BTW I'm in Loxahatchee.
