Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Hi mp.chandra, have you done any touring yet with your bike? Where have you gone with it?

Welcome to BF!

As New As A Shiny Bike

Hi all,
I found this site when i was searching for information on MSK Touring pedals.
I read the articles and instantly fell in love with the in-depth discussions.
Decided to join the group and so far I am having fun!

I ride a Cannondale T800 touring bike.
It is for the most part stock.
I have changed the pannier rack (Tubus Cargo and recently changed to ) and the saddle to a B67.
I have Arkel Panniers: The Bug, Urban Grocery Bag, GT54 panniers, Seat Bag and a Rack Top Bag.

I use my bike for delivering my products to my customers and I also use it for commuting when I work full time.

I want to ride to Columbia Missouri and back from St. Charles, MO on the KT Trail this summer.
This will be my first bike tour of any significance.

I can't wait for spring / summer to get here.

How about you guys?
-Chandra...

I started out with a couple of mtbs and just got my first roadie this summer. I've been so busy with work that it's hard for me to find time to ride when there is sun out. It's been raining here lately in California.

The biggest thing I tried (yes, TRIED) was to ride partially around Lake Tahoe on the new bike when I first got it. I was so scared by the traffic zipping by at highway speeds that I chickened out and went back to the condo.

My fiance and I want to try a bicycle honeymoon down part of the S. Cal coast. I'm not sure if I'm up for it yet but I figure I have a couple months to train. Good luck on the KT Trail.
