Hey i am a somewhat new road biker, and i live in SMyrna, GA near the silver comet bike trail
I currently have a 1989 Trek 2300 (first carbon frame they made) with shimano 600 ultegra
and i have a 2001 trek 5700 ultralight that i bought to sell and have decided to keep a few weeks and ride it while i am looking for a buyer
also just bought a cannondale with full ultegra to replace the parts on my trek 2300

I enjoy riding on streets and on the silver comet trail

oh yeah forgot to mention
21 year old college student, and am trying to get into bicycle mechanics or at least learn as much as i can.

Hi Sallad, hey, let's see some photos of the Trek 2300 in the Classic & Vintage forum. There's a thread in there for 'show your vintage carbon', and the 1989 Trek 2300 certainly qualifies!

I see you already found the regional forums--great!

Welcome to BF!

welcome!
it's been years since i have ridden in geogia. the area you ride in has some memories, though not clear.
last time i was down there was in 1979 or so. we spent family vacations in elberton, where my dad was from and decator, where my mom lived. i remember stone mountain, near where other family members lived. athens rings a bell, and Shorter College is where mo got her BA degree.
i hope to ride down there again!
do you ride in a club? how is traffic and road planning with bicycle inclusion? welcome x2!!
