Greetings from SF

I commute by bike everyday here in San Francisco (except when it's raining cats&dogs) and have been for about 3 years, and have also done long distance tours in New Zealand and here in NoCal. The Bicycle Coalition here has been working hard to improve safety and awareness for the biking community here, for which we're all grateful!

Hello sffuji, I'm guessing that you ride a Fuji? Which year and model? Don't forget to check out the regional forum for Northern California!

Welcome to BF!

Greetings sffuji! I'm also from SF, just got a new bike (a Specialized Sirrus) because my 1973 Raleigh Grand Prix needs work before I could ride it again, just joined bikeforums.net, just joined the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, and just completed the first of the two-part bicycle safety class I found on the Bicycle Coalition website. I drove that Grand Prix a lot until about 10 years ago and look forward to reconnecting with cycling.

Hi mdso725, welcome to you too! Get some photos of your Grand Prix and show it off in the Classic & Vintage forum, please?

Welcome to BF!

Thanks East Hill!

Well, guess again - I ride a vintage Specialized Sequoia from '86 or '87. The "kwality" of SF's pavement has forced a few repairs so it's no longer "stock", but the wheels are original and have some of the smoothest bearings I've ever rolled on.

That's sneaky! Still, perhaps you could post some photos of the Sequoia in the C & V forum for us?
