I've just started biking again after a long absence, about 20 yrs. Last summer I borrowed my son's old Fuji
road bike and went for a spin. It was to say the least very unconfortable but it got me interested in biking again. I bought a bike on 10/07. I would of liked to have gotten a sexy road bike but knowing my limits I purchased a hybred, Giant FCR3. What difference 20 yrs makes, it's a great bike to start with . I'm really enjoying riding and can't wait until the summer to take some longer rides.
I hope to learn some maintainance from the forum to keep the bike tuned up.

Hi 6431050, Lisa and I would both point out that just because it's twenty years on doesn't mean you can't enjoy a sexy road bike still!
Once you get limbered up with the Giant, you could be capable of things you only dream of doing now. Who needs a Fountain of Youth when you have a bike ?
Welcome to BF!

Welcome to both of you. But you need to get yourself a goofy or deep/meaningful /significant on-line name. Many of us have already claimed the really choice ones (or stupid ones, depends on your point of view)

PS- I went from not riding for 10-15 years to a hybrid because I thought I was "too old" for a road bike. Less than 2 years later I switched to a road bike. No regrets. Wait until you get good enough to drop your first 20-year old thinking he/she is going to beat the pants off you. Nothing but fun, fun, fun.
