new rider and new to the forum (atlanta, ga)

hi everyone.
just signed up here and got my first bike a few days ago. I just picked up a trek 1000 road bike. It is a 2007 model but I got it for a great price and its brand new.

this is what it looks like:

I figured I'd check out the forums to find some other beginners who may meet up around the atlanta area!

There are a lot of folks from Atlanta here, including one of the moderators, RonH.

Be sure you stop by the Southeast regional subforum and introduce yourself to the locals in the Atlanta/Decatur thread.
I'm sure Ron will stop by and welcome you himself personally, but he's definitely a go to guy for Atlantans .

Welcome to BF!

Welcome to the Forums. As a long time Trek rider, I know you will love that bike. I rode a 1000 for close to 20 years until buying my 1200 in 2005.
