Hi Victor, you must be talking about PDX? What kind of bikes have you and Mrs. VB got?
That's quite some total mileage commuting! Congratulations .

Hi from Portland
You are correct, pdx, or portland, or.
I ride a specialized sequoia which is an aluminum frame with carbon fiber fork, stays and seat post. It has ultegra components outside of the rear deraileur which is dura ace. I have custom wheels with Phil Woods hubs. Until I bought these wheels, I had a lot of trouble keeping the rear wheel true.
My wife rides a similar bike but with a bit more of a racing geometry but the same components. She has the shimano wheels with ultegra hubs that came with the bike and have worked well for her.
I ride every day and just ride to work, and go downtown or shopping on the weekends.
It's amazing how the miles pile up.
Take Care
Victor

Those custom wheels must be nice with the Phil Wood hubs!
