40 Years Later
It had been about 40 years since I've been on a bike...
Walks on the local biking/hiking trails over the past several years have found my wife and I becoming more and more envious of bike riders passing us by on our walks. That did look like fun!
We are now bike owners, mine is a Schwinn Jaguar from Target. I know, Schwinn and Target, all in the same sentence may not impress you, but it works, and I like it. Plus it is comfortable. My wife now has a 3 wheeler we ordered through WalMart. She's short, and we got the one with 20" wheels.
We are waiting to make our first ride together on these two bikes. Weekend before last we took her three wheeler out to a trail (wide trail, cement, and smooth), and she had a great time. It was a ride just to see how she would do. She only rode a few times many years ago, but did well on her three wheeler.
Our big anticipated problem is carrying both her three wheeler and my Schwinn Jaguar to the trails on the bike rack on our car. We think they both might fit, and now if we could just get decent weekend weather to find out.
Anyways, I'm way out of practice, but discovered I can still ride a bike. We are low budget people, and enjoy the outdoors, and hope to get in a few miles during the nicer days between one winter and another winter.

Hi Smackdab, I enjoyed your website! I should start doing that for my blog...hmm.
Don't think badly of your Schwinn Jaguar--if it gets you where you need to go, that's the important thing. That, and enjoying the ride and enjoying life .
Welcome to BF!

I indeed caught the importance of that phrase--you are the only person who needs to be satisfied and happy .
Good riding!
