Greetings from Southern California

Hello,

I joined this forum last week and rode to work for the first time today. I picked up my stepdads old Schwinn CrissCross from like 1990. I went to the LBS and got a pump that attaches to the bottle holder, allen set, new tubes and tires and (tires are FORTE GOTHAM 700x35). I am going to stop at another LBS on the way home and get a headlight, taillight, some kind of small bag that velcros on to hold phone and allen set. Any suggestion on these items, I will need a Helmet and might get gloves as well. Any suggestions on these?

Hi Rhunes29, just about any helmet will work--they all have to meet certain standards. So, whatever fits your head, and makes you look cool. At this time of year, and in Covina, you probably want to get mesh back gloves that will breathe.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
