Intro into Pre-War Schwinns, but not a classic scripture lover...
Hey, new to this particular forum...Not new to the internet.
I have been riding bicycles since time began for me (over 40) and I have many. My latest project is a pre-war La Salle Schwinn. Many new and old parts are being used, such as a Brooks saddle and some new Azonic cranks and BB, and a Shimano Nexus 7 speed wheelset. Keeping the truss forks and Schwinn stem eand Wald bars, and using a Wald basket up front. Just playing around...I'll throw some pics out next week or 2 when it's ready for the season.
This paricular bike is going to do some centuries in Central Illinois next month and during the summer. I am just getting tired of the road bike riding and it's been way too wet for MTB in the Saint Louis area for months now. Gonna ride the real old school rides (per se) and just pound some miles...basket and all.
Maybe a good place to meet some new friends and maybe a good place to share some ride stories with others. I am done being serious, as life is too darn short for that hang up.

Hi Brian, there's plenty of Schwinn enthusiasts in the Classic & Vintage forum, and they would be very happy to see some photos of the La Salle.
How many bikes do you have? My collection is up to 12 .
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
