Helloooooo Washington!!!

Well, not really.

Just hello from Wilmington, DE.

If there's any other freaks in the area, drop me a line. I'm trying to increase my wrenching skillz before I get too old to care.

I also like long walks on the beach, drinking til sunrise, crashing, injuring myself on the pavement, and breaking my hands on shopstands when a wrench pops loose.

In all seriousness though, I'm a mechanic for a fleet of couriers in Wilmington and I'm trying to increase my knowledge base. Also, I'm looking to start training for distance rides as soon as I can afford a legit roadie. Drop me a line cause I wanna talk bikes/shop with others that know what the hell I'm talking about, yet aren't uppity and know-it-all like some of the local mechanics that have only wrenched for rich people w/ unlimited cash flow.

Hi Brian--check into the regional forums just to see who's near you. I think the members here will be able to talk shop without coming off as snobbish and surly--most of us are pretty nice .

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Hey Brian, I saw your posts in another thread and noticed you are in the area. I'm always up for chatting bikes, especially roadies. I do a decent amount of wrenching myself and have plenty of tools and a workstand. I'm in north Wilmington (almost PA) right near Naamans and Foulk.

Thanks! One thing I'm working on is purchasing all of my tools and starting to fix from my apt...one day! Of course the first thing would be a new ride to train on...the ss does well for back and forth and makes great conversation at the Y, but not good for straight runs out 52!
