Newbie

Here to have fun. Name is Andrew Gore and I am from Pulaski, VA. I am a current cadet at VMI and graduate next year. Got a old MTN bike from when I was younger and want to do some work to it. Also looking into getting a road bike, I want to try and get into the triathlon scene.

Hello Andrew, what's the old MTB you've got? Photos? How much cycling are you able to enjoy at VMI? I've been to visit the area, and don't remember it as an especially cycling friendly area !

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

I actually pulled it out today and it was in alot worse shape then I thought. Plenty of rust, two flat tires, and broken pedals. So I am not sure what I can do, it is hard to do anything without any money. But my brother has this lower end mongoose MTN bike but it has a full suspension which I heard was a no-no in the mountain biking world, but it is free!!! If I get a chance to I will post pics but not for a while, sorry.

It'll work, I just wouldn't trust the Mongoose to take you over any really tricky stuff!
