    Hi from Ohio

Hey everyone! I'm a newbie here and a newbie to the bike world. I've been on two wheels since March 07 and love it! I've always wanted the time to ride and finally figured out I would never have time...so I made time by adjusting everything else in my life so that I could just ride!

    Great to be here.

Thanks for such a warm welcome...yes, I missed putting my ride in the post! I started riding after being fed up with cars so I went and got a department store bike to see if I would like it, keep riding etc. That lasted about a week! It was so uncomfortable and after a few days I was riding several miles. So I promptly went to my very cool local bike shop and picked out what I could afford at the time given my little knowledge about the subject. Now I ride a Trek Soho and love it but I can see that I have a lot to learn. So far my commute is much much better but now I need to refine and learn more!!

One of the things I did to give myself more time....cut off the dish and sold ALL of the TVs. I'm now TV free and want to be car-free by next year!

    Thanks you guys!

Wow, very cool about the television and LCF.

I assume that you have found the Living Car Free forum, and the Utility Forum?

Good thing I mentioned them, then. A lot of interesting and valuable information in those two forums.
