New Chicago Rider

Hi, all...
Just me here from Chicago. In the summer I'll be here on BikeForums. In the winter I'm on the Barking Bear ski forums. Two of my favorite places to be.

Now, someone start inventing that bike I can ski on in the summer and winter.

My main ride is an electric blue Merckx Team Criterium from 87. It has campy GS. I have many, many miles on that lovely steel ride.

My main commuter a hacked-together old aluminum iron horse warrior frame with Suntour XC pro. It is about as solid as you can imagine.

I'm in the middle of building my wife a touring bike out of a great Miyata frame. The frame is being powdercoated the color of her dreams. Well, the color of one of her dreams.

Nice to see all of you.

hi, lanny!

thanks for the howdy!

i probably should/will post some pix of the merckx. I just rewrapped the bars and swapped in new brake levers, so it's looking all right!

and i def. will post pix of the miyata when it's done. the lugs are nice, and it's going to be a sweet dark orange deal.

love your sheldon reference line below your avatar, btw.
