Hi, my name is Jim! and i need help

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I had a question on the pricing of a bike.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/671074044.html

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/673746554.html

I'm mainly looking at the pricing because he mentioned a 60 cm bike which I think would fit me more since I'm 6'0, 155 lbs. Unless you guys think 57cm is okay? I don't know. Either way, is his pricing reasonable? for the 60 Cm he said ... 150$. I think it was called a Vortex or something? I dont know, sorry. But the 1st 2 bikes and mainly to see

I think both of those are priced at least double what they should be.

I'd be looking at the Nishiki Semi Pro. That would be a better bike than the Raleigh Record. If it's the same guy, why not test ride both and see which one fits best?

Also, I don't think that these are overpriced for the Bay Area market. You'd want to make certain that the basics have been taken care of--if you'll need new cables, brake pads, stuff like that.

You might ask the seller if he is a BikeForums members. We have a lot of Classic & Vintage folks who live in the Bay Area, and they might give you a slight discount for being a member.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

I'm 6'0 and my bikes are 57 cm. 60 would be way too tall for you unless you have unusually long legs.
Go with the Nishiki.

i'm 6'1" tall,
i ride a 25" (63cm) (self contained touring) B/N 6000t
i ride a 60cm (23") road bike - cannondale sx600
my 'bent is totally adjustable (bikeE ct standard)
are you going for a road bike? go for smaller frame if mtb!
i had a 56cm giordana sx, WAY (much!) too small!
like mentioned above, test ride it and haggle price for used bike~
