Hi Elwood, would that be CA or CA?

Sorry, I couldn't resist that one. Are you in Canada or California? What kind of riding are you looking at doing?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

That would be CA, Canada. Trail and road riding mostly for leisure and fitness, there are many decent bike roads and trails (conservation areas) near my home. I think i would like a hardtail, entry level model of a good brand. any suggestions would be welcome el

The time-tested Specialized Hardrock would work (check out the Sport).

I just bought a Giant Boulder SE, entry level but i reckon i`ll upgrade components as they wear or fail. Actually the family all got new bikes, my wife got a Giant FCR, my son a Giant Bowery.
