Hi, I'm Ian from Montreal...

Hello folks,

My name is Ian. I live in Montreal. I'm looking for a decent bike to use over the summer, but I'm rather incompetent when it comes to choosing a decent one. I don't even know what kind of bike I should get. I want to use it to get around the city, so I'm guessing a road bike would be good. So my budget is MAX $300... which means a used bike I suppose. I'm about 5'9". What kind of bike should I get (road, mountain, city)? What size frame? Keep in mind that I may be using this bike quite a bit to get around.

Thanks!

Ian

A road bike would be good. You should definitely start by trying out bikes to see what size fits you. I took a look at the Montreal CL and did not find much that would work for you .

There was this one:

http://montreal.en.craigslist.ca/bik/667720395.html

This is a lower end bike, but which would work for getting around the city.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Thanks! I'll see if I can check that bike out. I'm going to keep my eyes open for some other bikes too.
