My name is Brian. I live in the midwest in a Big Twelve College town. I have liberated a few bikes from a metal dumpster, and attempting to put them road worthy again. So far I have repaired a Fuji Espree, a Gitane, a couple of schwinns. My interest is with vintage and classic road bikes. I employ these bikes to commute to work, run errands, and recreation.
Forty-five years ago I saved my pennies and bought a Dutch bike, Flying Arrow. Three speed Sturmey Archer, It had so much chrome that you needed sunglasses to look at it. It handled like a dream. I am looking forward to updating my skills to a new century of bikes, and the thrill of the hunt for old classic parts.
