in my (seemingly endless) search for a new road bike, a friend sent me here. if anyone has any recommendations or can offer any advice, i'm open to it all.

i'm super short (5'0"), and don't have too much disposable income (i live in nyc, and work in non-profit), so price and size are pretty much my limitations.

thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the forums. I would stay vigilant on craigslist, etc. Hit local bikeshops to see what they offer, pricing, etc. Many shops take old bikes as trade and then resell them. The road cycling forum has a great thread on bikes under $750.

Keep an eye on the CL/eBay finds thread in Classic & Vintage.

If you see a bike listed as 'East Hill size'--that's one for you!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
