just a girl from Berkeley, CA =-) I need serious advice!
So i have always wanted to get a bike and start biking through my beautiful neighborhoods....I have been a runner and a gym rat for the longest so I though it was time to move until bigger and better things. I never realized a decent bike would cost soo much but now i know and am willing to pay the price for a nice road bike. I have been viewing Craigslist and seen alot of what I think are great deals but if anyone can take a look at these posts and let me know if they are worth it..cuz i have NO IDEA! I am BIKE ILLITERATE at this point..LOL thanks all!!!!

How tall are you? The Univega is for someone VERY tall. The Mercier is gorgeous (although it probably has a french bottom bracket).

I started with a $15 Craiglist road bike.
Rode it 1500 miles until I figured it all out as to what I needed.
The Mercier might be a good starter bike.
Go look at it and if it fits your body make then an offer.
