new and back to biking
Hi. I'm a mom of four kids. I started cycling more seriously again last summer because a friend talked me into Ragbrai. I was in pretty bad shape emotionally as I awaited a long needed divorce and life reboot and she convinced me that despite the torture, Ragbrai is a culture all it's own designed to take seriousness away for a week. Except for lack of sleep, she was right. I think it was the best thing I have ever been talked into~ Not sure if I would be feeling this good if I hadn't gone there.
I loved biking since I was young and was riding to work when everyone else was getting their drivers license. Yes I drove also, but somehow I have a weird addiction to it and still do. I stopped riding around 10 years ago. Back again and want to try mountain biking and again commuting to work. I hope to tour in europe in a couple years.

Hello pannb, what are you riding? Do the kids go riding with you as well? Most of us here have that same weird addiction, so don't worry--you are among friends.
