What's up everyone?!?!

I found this forum as I am planning on re-introducing myself to the world of bicycle riding!

As a kid, I grew up in Frisco, and had some buddies that I would go mtn biking with. We rode from the Sunset, through the Presidio, over the Golden Gate Bridge, up to the Marin Headlands. And then back. I had so much energy back then...what happened?!??!

Well, fast forward to 2008. I moved out to Dublin, and work in Pleasanton and with gas prices so high, I thought, "Hey, why not bike to work?" I drove the bike route today and it was a shade under 5 miles. So I've been in the market for a new MTB .... so if anyone has any helpful tips, or suggestions on where to go in the East Bay, that'll be fantastic!!!

Thanks everyone, and I hope to learn a bunch from y'all on this forum.

Welcome to the forum!

I used to live in Hayward and could suggest a shop there, but I am sure there must be at least a couple of shops out your way that are good. I would suggest dropping into the Northern Cal Regional forum to ask about suggestions on shops.

You may also want to visit the Commuting forum.

Hi DeewLay, the members out that way are all pretty nice folks, and will be able to give you some suggestions as to the good shops.
