welcome mike!
my sister just moved from sbca after 11 year stay. we visited in 2007, hiked down to an old, closed for decades tavern, on ca hills nearby. were passed by mtb w/mask + helmet decending those hills.
sis moved closer to other sis in carlsbad; hope to see them again soon!
i'm over on the other side, in s nj, where we started!
i look forward to your input at bf. welcome x2!!

Hello Michael, that sounds like a big shift in your life's vocation. Did you do fine carpentry? Congrats on both the son and the ditching the car!

Welcome to BF!

thanks for the welcome, to those who were kind enough to give me a welcome. this forum has a lot of good topics and a lot of opinions.
East Hill, i was actually a finish carpenter, so yes i did fine woodworking. it was my passion, but my family and physical well being mean more to me than building rich peoples homes and working an 8 hr shift and then going to do 4 more to earn money to get more tools to make more money. i left it all and am trimming the fat from my life, material things and random don't have to haves. and cars suck anyway, so that was easy.
