Newbie in Nashville, TN area.

Hello all! I'm a 33 year old new rider living in the Nashville, TN area (south of Nashville actually, Spring Hill TN). Just got a road bike to start out on almost a year ago and have just started this summer to regularly train. I'm slowly learning the ropes as I go so I'm glad to have found this site to get advice from some veterans out there, ! I hope to meet some local riders here to learn from as well as talk with some folks around the world.

Cheers,
Guy

Hi Guy, what a beautiful area to ride in! My husband and I have spent a couple of summers in Franklin, and just love that area.

What bike did you get yourself?

Welcome to BF!

Thanks for the welcome

It is beautiful here, my wife and I live in the Spring Hill area. I got myself a Dekra Karma for DIRT cheap and had it set up correctly at Harpeth bike shop. I'm slowly trying to upgrade the gear on it but I don't want to spend too much on upgrades as I can spend that money on a better bike in the future as I get better.

I think I put a pic of it on here for my profile pic. If not you can check it out on my blog here: http://guyroberts.wordpress.com/2008.../my-road-bike/

Thanks for the response

I think you are correct about not putting too much into upgrades, but it will work for the moment, and as long as you get out and ride, it's all good!
