Alright guys? Newbie from London

Hi guys

Just got into cycling properly after buying myself my first road bike - a Gitane RC 600. I'm really psyched for riding at the moment, having finally got rid of my old rusty slick tyred mountain bike (pulled out of a canal in working condition - not bad) and am looking forward to participating on the forums, and even training for long distance cycling (just wait till my first long training ride and that might change very quickly....)

Thanks for reading!

You know, it's always fascinating to find out how many bicycles are tossed into canals and other waterways...did you find yours in London? I did not know that there were any canals in London!

Welcome to BF!

Yeah there's quite a few waterways in London. There's at least 4 canals/man-made waterways around, as well as the Thames, and you get everything in them - motorbikes, scooters and the obligatory shopping trolley (even cars in the Thames)

Most of the stuff in there is scrap worthy, but I got lucky...
