Hello all.

I've been biking to work (off and on) since the Carter Presidency... I gave up my car last August and bike everywhere now... though I do Zipcar when I need wheels (like to pick up 40 lb bags of dog food, Ikea runs, etc.)

Hi Ken, what bike or bikes do you have? It sounds as if you would have some great ideas/tips to add to the Living Car Free forum, and the Commuting forum as well.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Welcome. I have been cycling since the Eisenhower presidency. And I spent a year riding in the Manassas/Warrenton area in the 1960s. Good area and excellent cured hams. If you have heavy/large loads there are always bike trailers.
