Kansas city girl, but moving to Austin TX in a month!
My name is Kalen. I am a 22 year old female living in Kansas City. I love biking so much and I get into it every summer, but I am not someone who can take the cold well so I sold my car and I'm moving to Austin!
I don't know enough about bicycles yet, but there is this really cool program called yellow bike in Austin where you volunteer for 12 hours, they teach you how to build and fix bikes, you give them out to the community, then they let you build your own for free using parts they have! Not that it would be the most fancy bike, but a great way to learn.
Anyway, I'm hear to learn what I can.

Welcome to BF and bicycling.
That 12 hour program sounds neat.
We all like photos.
Send some when you can.

Welcome to Texas whenever you get there. I'm from Houston, and often return. Know a few people in Austin too, great town, though greyloon's right, a lot of people. Hope you build a sweet bike!
PS you have a wicked cool name

Welcome to the forums. Austin seems to be the bicycling capital of Texas, enjoy.

Hello Kalen, sounds like a great way to help yourself and the community. And, you get to learn how to fix things on the bike (always a plus ) .
