Hello from RI
Hey all my name is Justin. I'm from Smithfield, RI and I am a freshman at Bryant University. i am a double major in Finance and Economics and have plans to seek both an MBA and a JD law degree. So I've never been into cycling at all, actually im REALLY into cars, but with gas prices being what they are it seems to be a nice alternative to driving. Obviously I know how to ride a bike, I always had one as a kid but haven't even riden a bike in two years. So I've come to this forum to find out everything I need to commute 5 miles to school and 3 miles to work.

Hi Justin, have you hit the Commuting forum yet? The folks there should be able to get you started in the right direction.
Cars are all right, but as a double major in Finance and Economics, you have undoubtedly figured out that a bicycle in both the short and long run will save you money, and keep you healthy!
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Hey thanks. Yeah I browsed the threads before joining to make sure there was a section on commuting. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Anytime! We wish everyone would take a closer look at bicycle commuting. It's not for everyone, but there are a lot of people who could commute on a bicycle more efficiently, not to mention more economically, than with an automobile.
