Hello Everybody I'm new

Hi, I'm Jon and I'm from PA. I just picked up two Schwinn Walmart specials. I bought them used, I haven't been on a bike in a few years, but I couldn't let them get past me. There's alot I wanna do with one, but I'm shocked by how complicated this is. Let me look around to figure where I should post all my tech questions. They're Krate types and I wanna mod one and I need to know where to ask/what section. I don't plan on doing an exact replica, I wanna use modern parts. Should I still go to the classics/muscle bike section?

Welcome to BF.
It is too not difficult.
you have made the first step.
Get a floor pump. Keep air in your tires and ride.
I little oil on the chain and go for it.
You will learn what comes next.
Go slow, have fun.

I would try in both the Alt bike culture section and the bike mechanics section. I like what you have planned, ride one and modify the other. I predict a rapid learning curve and a new local bike shop (LBS) bike within the year.
