New guy here from the Twin Cities in Minnesota!
Greetings from the great state of Minnesota!
I'm a new guy here on bikeforums.net, but I am not new to cycling.
Currently I commute to work about 5 miles one way. I commute almost every day of the week, but am not a year round commuter just yet. I rode until the snow started falling here last year (about December 1) and will probably do the same this year. Although I may try commuting over the winter... we'll see. Ask me come the middle of December where I'm at with that.
I also ride a couple of club rides durring the week on my '06 Trek 2100, as well as a 20-30 mile solo ride most weekends. Most of the evening club rides are 20-25 miles, while some are up to 30-35 mile depending on who I can get to go with me on any given evening, the weather, darkness creeping up on us, etc.
I am also just getting my wife into road cycling. We just picked up a an '07 Specialized Dolce Elite for her on Monday evening. Now I need to get her set up with clipless pedals, cycling shoes, computer, etc. Hopefully we will get her to the point where she can join me on at least one of the slower paced weekly 20 mile club rides before this season is over. We'll see...
That's about it for me and cycling right now.
Later,
Jay B.

Hello Jay B., that is wonderful of you to get your wife a Dolce Elite. That was the first nice bike I ever purchased, and I still remember it fondly!
Check out the regional forums--there are a lot of members in MN, and quite a few of them commute year round.
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
