bikes VROOOOM!

hello, i am james.
I'm from missouri and i ride an IRO Mark V Single Speed atm. got into biking from my friend dave (subcultro), who is a member of this forum, but my interest in cycling really took off for me when i moved to japan for 6 months. Where you either cycle to work or take the train. Also, my girlfriend that i met in japan is from copenhagen (kobenhavn), denmark and apparently everyone bikes there, and after visiting a few times, a month at a time, it really got me fired up to buy a bike.

So far i've had my bike for a month and have +270 miles on biking trips, and probably another 50-75miles on commuting to school, gym, and work.

I am really interested into doing 2 or 3 day long trips of 150-200 miles a day, ive actually planned a trip this saturday (aug 3) to goto denmark to do this, hopefully i can get another 60-100miles of riding before i leave.

Hello James, how did you wind up in Japan, and how did you meet subcultro? It sounds as if you are leading quite the exotic life.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

I ended up in Japan, because Missouri was driving me crazy, so I decided after spring semester '07 I would try to learn Japanese in Tokyo. I know subculturo from when I was little, and was forced to goto church every sunday.

Well, at least some good came out of being forced to go to church, eh?
