Hello from Nebraska!
Hello all,
I just stumbled upon this introductions section and decided to contribute. I'm Max. I'm from Nebraska and I've been riding bikes since I was about four or five. I started with an old baby Schwinn; blue, with blue and white fenders, fixed gear, and training wheels only for a week or so. My dad then made me toughen up and practice riding in the grass, where I crashed...a lot. I'm really getting into bike repair, building, and the whole culture.
A little background:
I grew up in a small town. The first lock I ever had to buy for my bike was when I started college. Being able to leave your bike laying around in your yard overnight was an awesome thing. I'm going to school to get a dual degree in Elementary Education/Elementary Special Education. I work for a subsidiary of the State of Nebraska in human services. I work with people that have developmental disabilities. I love my job.

Hello Max, it looks as if the SS/FG forum has been taking care of you and answering your questions. If you can think of any questions about vintage bikes...then I will see you in the Classic & Vintage forum .

Nice! I just came from Nebraska! I hope you enjoy your stay there.
I was born and raised there. Born in North Platte, then moved at 5 to Lincoln. It was a great little town, but I'm never leaving Colorado. No offense...
