    Howdy from Oregon

Let's see, where do I start. Well, I guess I'll start by telling y'all about me and my bikes. I do a lot of customizing as a side hobby, mainly in designing and building chopper bicycles. But my current project is sort of strange, as I am modifying a frame to carry my bari sax around campus. The case is roughly 3.5 feet long, so it's quite a task building something strong enough to support it properly. I decided to join here seeking some input about this project, mainly in tires and fenders. I know that this is the intro section, and I will make a new thread about this. But I'm trying to track down some older steel fenders for this bike, that are very narrow. Preferably full length in the back. The frame is an old Sears Free Spirit, and had fenders on it at one time, but they're long gone now.

As for my choppers, here's the last one that I built, it measured in around 10 feet long as I recall, and was a lot of fun until my welds came apart up top. I still have the broken frame and long aluminum forks, hoping to put it all back together soon.

Hi musicman, that is a beautiful job you've done on that! It seems that the C & V folks have managed to help you track down some appropriate fenders, so when you are done with that project, fill us in with a look at the bike, please?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
