Hello from Marinette, WI
I've been biking seriously since I bought my Univega Gran Turismo in 1982. It now has over 40000 miles on it, including my trip to Alaska in 1983. My most recent ultra-ride was 302.8 miles in 25.5 straight hours to Rochester, MN in April '03. I commute 9 miles each way to work year round. In the winter I ride my Trek 6700, which I have Nokian studded tires for the slippery conditions.
It'll be fun to correspond with other fellow bike enthusiasts!

Welcome to BF. Looks like you'll be giving us pointers. Are you a member of RUSA (Randonneurs USA)? Do you have a website with your travel log?

No I'm not a member of RUSA. What is RUSA?
I have no web site. I did keep a manual log of my Alaska trip, and of course took plenty of pictures.

The UP of Michigan is very beautiful, and is included in much of my biking. We're planning to buy a tandem, on which my daughter and I hope to do a UP tour this summer.

Wisconsin is beautiful, but the hills are less hilly, than those of the UP...No?
