Colo. greetings from forum newbie/tandem stoker

Although we've put over 21,000 miles on our tandem, I've never looked at forums like this before - never considered "biking" and "online" in the same thought. I am impressed with the sheer breadth of experience and willingness to help I see here. It is exciting to listen and learn.

My captain builds websites and I am a writer - we hop on our tandem when we both need a break from screen-gazing. We enjoy exploring Colorado's Front Range mostly on bike trails, with occasional forays on-road.

Just logged our first 50 mile day last week.
That's half way to this season's century-day goal ... never thought a non-athlete like me would be even considering 100 miles in one day on a bike, let alone striving toward it! But the tandem changed all that!
Best,
WriterStoker

Welcome. I'm impressed with the number of miles you've logged. Especially that most of it is off road. I had no idea there were off-road tandems. Switching to the road should make 100 miles in a day a lot easier.

Good luck,

Z

Hello WriterStoker, I've heard of MTB tandems, but they are something I have yet to see in person. What make is it?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
