Thinking about getting a Downtube.

Hi, I had a bicycle accident at the age of 4. My brother was giving me a ride on his bicycle and he was riding with no hands and fell down. I flew off and got a big scar to the right of my right eye. I never learned how to ride a bike until 22 years later. I barely learned how to ride a bicycle a few months ago and I am still a complete beginner.

I want to get a 8H, 8FH or a mini. I plan on mainly riding at the beach and pavements around my neighbor hood. Is there a big difference in the suspension? Are there any mods that should be done on the bike? I read about people using big apple tires and changing their handle bars. I'm 6' and 155lbs and live in Los Angeles area.

You might want to try asking this in the Folder forum--I've only had the fun of riding a folder once.

That's fantastic that you decided to try cycling again!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
