Hi, happy to be "official!"

Hi everyone--been accessing and reading BikeForum threads for years for the great tech help, advice, and wisdom and, now, I've finally joined. I really like the way members assist each other with a high-level of patience and respect (for the most part). I'm partial to all things vintage, classic, and old skool but I'm opened to learning about techie new stuff, too.

Current rides include: newer Motobecane fixie with a number of upgrades from stock; 1974 Raleigh International frameset (I purchased 'new' in 1979) built-up as a 7 sp. 'towner' bike that is just plain 'fun to ride' (mix of old & new components); and a NOS Raysport "Super Corsa" full-531 vintage frameset waiting for a build-up into a fast, long-distance, 'tourer.'

Oh, don't tell my wife I've joined--I've got a dissertation to write and she already thinks all things bicycle take up too much of my limited time, etc., etc.

Cheers, 87trooper

You aren't talking about bicycles--you are helping disseminate knowledge of fine classic steel machines.

There's a world of difference there!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
