I Like Bikes
Back in single pre-mom days, about 20 years ago, I used to ride around enough to use toe clips. That was a long tome ago (now 43) but I still tell myself one day I will get back to it. I like to ride on bike paths, too timid to ride with traffic these days. So, not a serious bike rider but I haven't given up either. I have an LLBean Road Bike in the barn that I bought a couple of years ago with good intentions. It's been out only a few times this season...
I also like bikes for the way that they look, however, especially vintage British 3 speeds. My mom had a Raleigh when I was a kid and whenever I see one now I feel like I have to buy it.
I have acquired in the last couple of years two '60's-era ladies' 3-speeds, a Raleigh and a BSA. My main reason for joining this forum is to get some advice on the best way to deal with these. They are both in "as found" condition and need work. I am off to the vintage/classic forum to ask what the conoisseurs think about bringing these back.
Cheers.
